This is a good example of what I would like to say about trading robots. As a trader and programmer - I can tell you from my own experience - people are often overly enthusiastic about all these automation ideas, while programmers... as people who deeply see these products from the inside - experience fewer illusions (except in cases where advertising or an attempt sell you something).
That is why - for now - I prefer coding indicators and alerts - tools that assists me, having clear understanding that I can't fully trust my money to a robot and mistakes it can make. I can trust myself only. Which is why I use programming as a tool for calculating, detecting, notifying levels and patterns - transforming that information into a visually understandable form - for making decisions.
